Mustafa Aga in Stockholm 1727

On verso signed G. Schröder pinx. Canvas 45 x 38 cm.
Old gilded and bronzed frame in rococo style.

Provenance

The painting is probably one of the paintings mentioned in the auctioncatalogue after Schröder: "Förteckning Uppå Framledne Hof Intendenten och Conterfejaren G. E. Schröders Schilerier och Portraiter, som komma den 9 och 12 October at förauctioneras i huset N.o 9 wid Beridarebanan".
Mr G Berg, Vårby estate, Södermanland, afyter him sold at auction:
Bukowski Auctionhouse, auction 124, 25-26 October 1899, catalogue no 22. (Bought by the Turkish ambassador for 410 Swedish Crowns).
Magaliff Antik & Konsthandel (Anrt and antiques dealer), Stockholm, bought 1964 by Akif Arhan as a gift for his son Mustafa Arhan in connection with his appointment as Consul General of Turkey.
