A TAPESTRY. Flat weave with soumak technique. 128 x 167 cm. Signed AL and embroidered AL _ SW 1962 at the lining

(Alice Lund - Sofia Widén AB). Designed by Alice Lund in the early 1960's. A melange ground with large polychrome shapes. Probably it exists only two examples with this pattern. The name of the atelier was Alice Lund - Sofia Widén AB a while after the death of Sofia Widén in 1961 when Alice Lund continued Sofia's deed. We thank Alice Lund Textilier AB's owner Frida Lindberg for the information.

Some wear, slightly dirty, minor stains, insignificant damages.
