Acquired by the Swedish Diplomat Per Falkenström (1928-2012), while he was stationed in Pakistan in the mid 1960’s.

More information

Might have been part of the architectural deocration of a stupa. The Lion representation often refer to Buddha himself as he was born in the shakya or 'lion' clan.
