A RUG. A semi-antique silk figural souf (in relief), probably India. 208 x 128,5 cm (as well as two cm flat weave at

each end). An ivory ground with polychrome hunters on horseback, predators, flowers, birds, a medallion with an inscription in a metal brocaded cartouche and in the corners a quarter of a medallion. The inscription reads approximately: the respectable person Enayat al din (Inayat al din) who has finished an outstanding work. A wide terracotta coloured main border with large palmette and flower vines as well as birds. Many patterns are metal brocaded.
