”Le Mariage de la Vierge”. A large polychrome palace scene with a biblical motive. A border with an acanthus vine and flowers, in the lower corners a coat of arms, inte the upper corners a medallion with a monogram. At the top in the middle is an octagon with Mary and the holy child. Wool and silk. Lined.
Some partly harder wear, dirty, stains, repairs, rewoven areas, damages, tears.
Provenance
Bought in Paris in the 1950's by the recent owner's father.
