The painting ”Powerlunch” reflects our time and the need to be in an extreme and manic well-being state of mind. Thorell says he heard about a yoga triathlon, where you had to run 40 km followed by 150 yoga positions only to finnish off with a three hour long hardcore meditation. With the sole aim to be ZEN.

Jim Thorell is Stockholm native with an international career. He has had solo exhibitions in New York, London, Berlin, Vienna and Stockholm among others. In 2016 he showed at Moderna Museet Malmö and in 2015 at Wanås Konst, and last year at the group exhibition ”Swedish art – NOW” at Sven-Harrys Konstmusem.

Participates in group show at Issues gallery, Stockholm, 10 - 28 April 2018.
