Signed with dedication "a Olivier (Herdies) Tancredi", dated 27.6.60. Oil pastel on paper 47.5 x 63 cm.

The artist Olivier Herdies (1906-1993).
Thence by descent to the present owner.
More information
Olivier Herdies and Tancredi met for the first time when Herdies had his first exhibition in Paris in 1955 and they became friends. In 1960 on his way to Norway Tancredi stopped a couple nights in Stockholm and stayed in Herdies studio. Herdies bought the auctions mixed media painting from him and got this painting as a thank you gift for the stay at the studio.
Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice exhibited over 90 works by Tancredi Parmeggiani between November 12 2016, and March 13 2017.
