Med glimten i ögat lånar P G Thelander in motiv från den klassiska konsten och placerar in dem i sin egen bildvärld. Genom att lekfullt placera till synes irrelevanta objekt och föremål i en vardaglig omgivning överraskar han betraktaren. Utan förklaring låter han oss tolka strutsar, sköldpaddor, grodor och pingviner bland morötter, potatisar. Eller som här en semla, en coca-cola och en klassisk målning.
