Gaetano Pesce (1939-) is a cutting edge architect and designer. His playful and humanistic ideas have laid the foundation for his personal design. Pesce has been active with the Italian anti-design and Memphis group, where he also did a fex collaborations. He has been known for experimenting with new techniques and materials in industrial design. The series "Nobody's Perfect" is a series of objects focusing on diversity within serial production. All objects in the process are affected by the human factor, which makes all objects unique. The project is a socio-political positioning for diversity and against standardized production. The Nobody's perfect serie are represented in The Cooper Hewitt collections.

Gaetano Pesce was an Italian architect and designer who can undoubtedly be considered one of the most influential figures in the postmodern design movement. Through his groundbreaking approach and irresistible desire to break away from the strict ideals of modernism, Pesce shaped a new direction in design and architecture, where individuality and human emotion took centre stage.
