Henri Cartier-Bresson anses vara fotojournalistikens fader. Tillsammans med bland annat Robert Capa grundade han 1947 Magnum, det första fotokooperativet.
Personen på bilden är Andrew Newell Wyeth, en av de mest kända amerikanska konstnärerna under 1900-talets mitt.

Just det här exemplaret ägdes tidigare av Charlton Heston (Beverly Hills), fram till hans död 2008. Nuvarande ägare köpte bilden då The Charlton Heston Estate auktionerades ut 2016.
