Decorated with swimming mermaids in blue and clear glass, signed Orrefors 928590 Olle Alberius 29-50 Olle Alberius. Height 17,5 cm, diameter 13,5 cm.
Designer
Olle Alberius was a Swedish designer and glass artist. From 1963 to 1971, Alberius was associated with Rörstrands Porslinsfabrik, where he worked partly with works of art, partly with tableware. From 1971 he was active at Orrefors glassworks, where he designed both classic tableware such as Victoria (1978) and Erik (1974), art glass in the Ariel and Graal technique as well as cut crystal sculptures.
