The bronze base stamped TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK 584 underneath, the shade stamped TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK 1488. Height ca 57 cm, diameter ca 46 cm.

A few mosaic pieces with minor cracks.

Provenance

Reportedly acquired in New York city in the 1910's and thence in the same family by descent.

Literature

Robert Koch, "Louis C. Tiffany Glass, Bronzes, Lamps", Crown Publisher's, New York 1971. The signature on the table lamp was used on metal objects between 1902-1918. All metal objects from Tiffany's should at this time be signed and numbered.
