Handwritten and signed manuscript in ink, 7 pages on the same number of sheets, 18x21 cm. Written in early 1953 and dated "Stockholm in February / Ingmar Bergman". Traces of folding, multiple changes, as used in the printed version. The text was printed in SF's magazine to the film's premiere in February 1953.
Bergman tells in this very interesting manuscript about the origin of one of his most popular films, "Sommaren med Monika" (The summer with Monika), and its recording in the archipelago and Stockholm during the period July-October 1952 with Harriet Andersson and Lars Ekborg in the main roles.
The manuscript belonged to the PR Ragnar "Ranke"
Sandgren (1916-2000), director of SF's PR studio 1953-1981 and the one who made the well-known poster for "Summer with Monika". This was Sandgren's first collaboration with Ingmar Bergman, after which he made posters for another number of Bergman films.
