Oil on canvas laid down on panel 25 x 40.5 cm. Verso inscribed: "Skizze v. Tina Blau zu einem grozern Bild an der Kirchhofmauer".
Provenance
(Presumably) given by the artist (as payment for treatment) to a Doctor in Austria-Hungary during World War I. Subsequently by descent to the Doctor's son (who passed away in 2005); private collection (2005-2017); Stockholms Auktionsverk, "Stora Kvalitén", June 8 2017, lot 3166; private collection.

Sketch for a larger painting which was destroyed by fire in 1945. Authenticated by Dr Markus Fellinger, Österreichische Galerie Belvedere in Vienna. The sketch will be included in the online-catalogue raisonné (cat-n. GE 1247) over Tina Blau-Lang's production.
