Signed Wojciech von Kossak and dated 1920. Oil on canvas 97 x 56.5 cm.

Provenance

According to inscription in pencil on stretcher acquired in Warsaw in the summer of 1923; subsequently by descent.

Probably a scene from the Polish-Soviet War 1919-1921.
