A huanghuali veneered, huamu and mixed wood cabinet, 19th century, Qing dynasty, 19th Century.

The double doors opening to reveal a single shelf over a pair of drawers, the interior lacquered, over a plain lower panel with further insets. Height 179,5 cm. Width 105,5 cm. Depth 51 cm.

The back with extensive traces of old lacquer, wear, restorations. Later metal mounts.

Provenance

From a Swedish Collector, a notable member of the Swedish Oriental Ceramics Society who formed his collection from the early 1950's an onwards. Thence by descent.
