A large embroidered silk panel lined with wool, late Qing dynasty.

On light blue silk, the bottom with dark blue wool. Depicting lively figure scenes from court, centered by a pagoda. Around with rockformations, figures, children playing, plants, threes and flowers. Measurement 181 x 141 cm.

From the Collection of Wilhelm (1870-1968) and Marika Olivecrona (b. af Ugglas Forsmark. Wilhelm came out to China in 1901, later on he was employed by the Chinese Government as an engineer at the Board of Conservancy Works of Kwantung, Guangdong (Canton). He came to spend most of his working years in China.
