A Henan black glazed ribbed jar, Song dynasty (960-1279).
Ovoid form with a wide neck, the body is decorated with groups narrowly spaced vertical ribs formed by trails of white slip and covered with a slightly mottled black glaze, with tapering strap handles. Height 14 cm.
