A pearl cross pendant and two pearl necklaces
mourning jewellery in 21K gold with monogram engraving in blue enamel, dimensions ca 9.5 X 6.5 cm, total weight 15 g. Accompanied by a one strand pearl necklace, Ø ca 3 mm, length ca 150 cm, clasp in 14K gold and silver set with a rose-cut diamond and a one strand pearl necklace, Ø ca 3 mm, length 54 cm, clasp 18K white gold. Accompanied by a fitted case.
Repairs. The longer pearl chain needs to be restrung.
Provenance
First owner, one of three sisters, each according to family tradition given a similar necklace by their father Mattias von Ungern Sternberg, was Jacqueline Ulrika, born von Ungern Sternberg in 1789. Thence by descent in seven generations. A portrait of the first owner exists, wearing the cross with its two pearl strands.
