Barbro Nilsson
A CARPET, "Rödspättan", flat weave, ca 313,5 x 203 cm, signed AB MMF BN
(AB Märta Måås-Fjetterström, Barbro Nilsson). Designed in 1943. The pattern "Spättan" was designed in red for the parents' home at Lidingö.
Some wear, slightly dirty, stains. Ribbon lined ends.
Provenance
Åke and Brita Stavenow, good friends of the artist. The parents of Elisabet Stavenow-Hidemark (a well-known Art historian and textile specialist). Åke Stavenow was an Art historian and the CEO of the Swedish Society of Industrial Design 1935-46. Then inherited.
