A CARPET, a semi-antique Teheran probably, a figural part silk, ca 347,5-345,5 x 242 cm.
An ivory ground with polychrome hunting scenes, horsemen on horses, predators, deer, birds, blooming trees and branches with palmettes. A red main border with huntsmen, deer and flowers in landscapes. Several patterns knotted in silk. Light red wefts.
Some areas with corroded yarn. Some wear, dirty, stains among which one or two are a little stiff, minor mothdamages. The sides and ends have minor fold wear, the sides with later sewn edgings.
