A Gustavian 1770/80's commode attributed to Anders Hallmén (master in Stockholm 1755-1787).

Veneered with several woods such as jacaranda, rosewood, birch, maple and mahogany. Mounts of gilt brass. Five drawers. Inlays of flower bouquets, the front with flower urn in medallion, the top with medallion with trophy of quiver, bow and hunting horn. Length 120, width 54, height 87 cm. Including certificate by Torsten Sylvén from 1998. Key included.

Worming, the feet ends later. Veneer repairs.

Anders Hallmén practiced as a journeyman for ten years in Germany, France and England. His intarsia motif of flower bouquets and trophies in medallions shows strong international influences.
