I Augusta Lovéns testamentariska gåva 1940 fick Ersta Diakonianstalt en av sina största gåvor på 400.000 kr och diverse möbler. Augusta var aktiv i mer än 25 år i Diakonissarbetsföreningens styrelse och deltog 1919-36 i Svenska Diakonissällskapets styrelse.
