ERIK GUSTAF GÖTHE, depicting Karl XIV Johan (King of Sweden 1818-44).

Plaster, bronze-patinated. Signed and dated "G. GOTHE. s. 1836.". Height 78 cm. With 19th century pedestal. Height incl. pedestal 187 cm.

Repatinated, the nose possibly repaired. The pedestal with wear, colour losses, dried cracks.

Provenance

Lennartsnäs, Näs, Uppsala county, Sweden, Baron Oscar af Ugglas (1901-1984) married to Ingeborg Ulla Lewenhaupt (1907-2001).
