Provenance

According to information given the brooch was a gift from a Grand Duke to the ship-owner Carl Johan Fredrik Jörgensen who also during the 1860s possibly built av private yacht for Alexander II of Russia. The name of the yacht was Sabava, also engraved on the brooch.
