A RUG, an antique/semi-antique silk Turkey, probably Kayseri, ca 178 x 121-124 cm.

A dark blue melange ground with polychrome predators, deer, birds, palmette and flower festoons. A wide pale yellow main border with a large palmette, arabesque and flower vine. Ca 560.000 knots per square meter.

The brown coloured wool is partly slightly corroded. Some wear, dirty, insignificant stains and damages. Later fringes.
