A pair of beech chairs, "Ararat", executed by Åke Axelsson in 1976.

Red beech, hemp cord seat, leather cushion, height 83 cm, seat height ca 40 cm.

Wear, minor repair on the back rest, cushions not original.

The "Ararat" chairs were made in a limited edition for the exhibition also named "Ararat" at the Modern Museum in Stockholm 1976. Ararat is an acronym for Alternative Research in Architecture, Resources, Art and Technology.
