A CARRIAGE CUSHION, tapestry weave, ca 48-51,5 x 98-99 cm as well as fringes, Scania, Sweden, late 18th century.
In a frame, total dimensions ca 68 x 115 cm (depth 3,5 cm). Torna or Bara district. A dark brown ground with a polychrome decor of the lamb with the flag, two crowned lions, a pair of parrots and large flowers. Unexamined out of frame.
The dark brown coloured wool is partly corroded. Some wear, minor stains, damages and repairs, rewoven areas.
