Finely cast seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus throne, an urna on his forehead and eyes lowered in serene contemplation, his left hand resting on his legs with the palm facing upward, thumb turned in, his right hand over his right leg touching the lotus throne in bhumisparsa mudra. Height 21,5 cm.

Base placque missing.

Provenance

From the Collection of a Swedish connoisseur of art and antiques. The gentleman had a great interest in religion and the history of religion and this was visible in his collecting and one can clearly see his eye for the Asian Art.
