Engraved along the rim: ALLMÄNNA SVENSKA TRÄDGÅRDSUTSTÄLLNINGEN I STOCKHOLM 1930 STOCKHOLMS GARTNERSÄLLSKAPS HEDERSPRIS. Length ca 38 cm, weight ca 1300 g.

Provenance

This bowl was designed to be the honorary prize in a gardening exhibition in Stockholm 1930.

Designer

Atelier Borgila was founded by Erik Fleming in 1921. The firm quickly established a solid clientele, and its work was characterized by high quality combined with a stylish elegance. The firm was taken over in 1959 by his son Lars Fleming, who successfully continued the workshop and company until 2005 when the firm was sold to the silversmith Henrik Ingemansson
