a wood and brass brooch, executed in her own workshop in Stockholm ca 1952.
The brass stamped TORUN Stockholm mark B9 (1952), measurements ca 4 x 3 cm.
Tiny nail is missing to the reverse.
Provenance
The vendor's family were friends with the Bülow Hübe family through their summer vacations at the island Romanö in the early 1950's.
Compare lots nr 628:168, 628:169 sold at Bukowski's auction in November 2020. These originates from the same family.

Torun had her first studio up at an attic in Stockholm. She was a young student and also a mother and had to work with the materials she could afford at the time. She was very much inspired by African works of art.
