"Målningen är en frusen bild av en kvinna stelnad i en Magritteliknande molnkub. Snäckan - en symbol för evighet . förvittras i hennes hår. Ägget, symbol för liv, har Thorén med humor och ironi gjort till ett kokt ägg i en äggkopp. Målningen är ett surrealistiskt - och ett något ironiskt - porträtt av konstnärens första hustru Greta, som tragiskt håller på att försvinna ur hans liv".
