Björn Friborg (b. 1983) is educated as a designer at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Schools of Architecture, and specialized in glass at Kosta Glass School and at Åfors Glasbruk. Friborg’s glass sculptures redefines the norms of glassmaking, pushing the material to its boundaries. With the implosion series he uses unconventional techniques to create an open core in the sculptures. Friborg also act Head of Holmegaard Glass Workshop.
