"I mönstren var speglingarna viktiga. Denna effekt finns även i målningarna Lek och Anafas från 1984. I mitten av 1970-talet gjorde han teckningar av inbuktningar eller vågrörelser med punkter som upprepades symmetriskt över en yta. Det uppstod en flimrande effekt som i viss optisk konst.
