A massive famille verte bisquit vase, Qing dynasty with Kangxi mark to base.

Balustershape with a tall neck, decorated with a motif from a Chinese litterary work. The lower section with a battle, with standard bearers, mounted soldiers, footsoldiers in a battle. In the center a soldier carrying a small boy who appears to be thinking of a dragon. Interior with green glaze. Height 86.5 cm.

Repaired with staples. Crazing to glaze.
