Artist

Gideon Börge was a Swedish artist born in Stockholm, where he also studied at the Technical School. Börge travelled to Italy, Northern France, and Paris for his studies. he was also associated with the third Smedsuddskolonin, Falangen, and Färg och form. He is often counted among the group of Swedish naive artists who debuted in the late 1910s and is commonly mentioned alongside Eric Hallström and Hilding Linnqvist. “Från Slussen I storm” is a famous painting of his. Börje painted mostly rural landscapes in vivid colours.
