A carrige cushion, "Bebådelsen", tapestry weave, ca 105 x 52 cm, Skåne, 1800-1830
Torna or Bara district, Scania, Sweden. A dark brown melange ground with a polychrome stylized pattern of two wreaths with the Annunciation scene crowned by angels and surrounded by a variety of flowers.
Partly worn, repairs. Ends has a few rows of knots missing.
