A sang de boeuf glazed vase, Qing dynasty, 19th Century.

Rounded base, slender neck, decorated in a sang de boef glaze. Height 26 cm.

Shortened by the neck.

Provenance

Property from a Swedish Private Collection. The vase was given to the present owner by Nita Wallenberg, daughter of Gustaf Wallenberg, Swedish Envoyé of Japan and China in the early 20th Century. The families got to know each other when they worked toghther in Mexico City for LM Ericson with Nitas husband Mr Söderlund in the 1930s and 1940s.
