A carrige cushion, "Bebådelsen", tapestry weave, ca 95 x 47,5 cm, Skåne, 1800-1830
Torna or Bara district, Scania, Sweden. A blue ground with a polychrome stylized pattern of two wreaths with the Annunciation scene crowned by angels and surrounded by a variety of flowers. Very unsusual in this colour scale.
Insignificant holes, damaged ends.
