A Swedish baroque marquetry chest, later part of the 17th century,

The architectonically modelled exterior with marquetry inlay of a courtyard and colonnade, flanked on each side by pilasters and porticos with inlay of flowering urns against a ground of carved scrollwork. With the inscription: "RUDOLPHUS BRAUN / VIRTUS FEREADO VINCIT". The locks and hinges of richly chased wrought iron and steel. The top enclosing a compartment and interior drawers; the lower body with two drawers. Length 162, width 71, height 97 cm. Key included.
