A Victorian snake bracelet in 14K gold with rose-cut diamonds, red stones and a half pearl

likely garnet and glass doublets, width ca 17 - 30 mm, inner diameter 60 mm, weight 37 g. Accompanied by a fitted case.

Provenance

Baroness Pauline Rantzau-Lehn (1803-1860), who was married to Baron Fritz Holsten-Lehn-Charisius (1786-1888). They lived at Hvidkilde Castle in Denmark, which Pauline Rantzau-Lehn inherited from her father. The bracelet was likely a gift to her from her husband. It has since been passed down through the female line.
