Karin Stackelberg, Countess, was born in 1877 in Gothenburg, sister of the artist Brita Lagerberg. She studied at the Académie Julian in Paris and the Heyman-Brockdorf-Schule in Munich. Stackelberg also received instruction from the portrait painter Harold Speed in London. She primarily painted portraits in oil and watercolor. She passed away in 1957 in Gränna.
