Provenance

This Omega Speedmaster belonged to my father, Olle Attehall, who was a fighter pilot in the Swedish Air Force and later a captain at SAS.

Flying was his great passion in life, and he began gliding as a teenager, later becoming a field pilot at Ljungbyhed. During the Cold War in the 1960s, Olle was a fighter pilot in the Air Force, flying both the legendary J 29 Tunnan and the fighter aircraft J 35 Draken.

My father received this watch from his mother, Svea, when he turned 30 years old, in 1967. The Omega Speedmaster was already known for its reliability, precision, and extremely robust manufacture. The watch has been through many trials and adventures.

My father had a long and rich life, he got to fly and do what he loved throughout his professional career.

More information

Omega used two different casemakers for the reference 105.012. Huguenin Frères (H.F) and La Cetrale Boîtes of Bien (C.B). The CB cases differ in that there is a small line between the polishing planes on the lugs. We have only seen this type of case on the sub-reference 105.012-66 made by La Centrale Boites.
