A Flemish 'Game park' tapestry, probably Audenarde, c. 331 x 177 cm, mid 16th century.

A polychrome landscape with a large 'Pugnae Ferarum' (‘Combat of the Wild Animals’) pattern depicting a griffin and other mythological creatures. In the background there are scenes with people, a faun, and a castle by a stream. Wool and silk. Lined.
