A Swedish early 19th century silver tankard, mark of Abraham Hamnqvist, (active 1815-1842) Åmål.

Cylindrical, standing on three ball feet, gilded inside. Memorial coins, featuring king Carl XIV Johan, are inserted on the body and the lid. The curved handle with a fruit-decorated thumb piece. Height 15.8 cm, weight 583 g.

Provenance

Major-general Gustaf Nyblaeus (1853-1928).
Thereafter inherited to the present owner.
