A Gustavian marquetry and gilt brass-mounted commode by G. Foltiern (master in Stockholm 1771-1804), dated 1782.
Signed on the edge of the two upper drawers "GFT", and with the Stockholm town mark of 1782 in the bottom of the upper drawer. The right front leg socket marked "M", probably for Gerhard Meyer, a bell founder in Stockholm. Length 74.5, width 46, height 82 cm. Key included.
