Auktionens byrå är en av de synnerligen högklassiga möbler i tidig svensk rokoko utförd efter franska regénceförebilder, associerade med nyinredningen av Stockholms slott på 1730- och 1740-talen. Bland dessa kan nämnas den så kallade "Nordstjärnebyrån" (privat ägo) som traditionellt har ansetts vara utförd av Samuel Pasch, samt en snarlik byrå i de kungliga samlingarna, levererad av Pasch 1744 för Lovisa Ulrikas sängkammare på Kungshuset, Wrangelska palatset (HGK 420). Auktionens byrå visar dock närmast släktskap med de två byråar utförda av Samuel Pasch och Johan Wulf d.y. för Adolf Fredriks sängkammare (HGK 31).
