Designed in 1942 on commission from Peggy Guggenheim for the gallery Art of This Century in New York.

A reissue of the chair produced by Wittmann Möbelwerkstätten in Austria was launched in collaboration with the Frederick and Lillian Kiesler Private Foundation in 2002.

Kiesler was a member of the de Stijl art movement and has worked with big names such as Marcel Duchamp, Pablo Picasso and André Breton.
