More information

Frogs are associated with fertility and abundance because they lay enormous quantities of eggs. They are yin creatures, associated with the female principle. Because Chinese people do not always differentiate between frogs and toads, they can also be linked to good luck, immortality, money, healing, the moon and frivolity, all qualities belonging to toads.
