The horned beast cast standing on four legs and bushy tail upright, its head upturned and detailed with large bulging eyes and curly eyebrows and beard, the mouth opened revealing sharp fangs, decorated in underglaze blue. Height 13.5 cm. Length 11 cm.

Traces to interior from being used. The upper part with retouches/repair.

Provenance

From the collection of Mr Liljenberg Hansson, a long time member of the British Oriental Ceramics Society who started to collect Chinese Works of Art in the 1970's.
